Truck Air Conditioner question

The air conditioner on my 95 F-150 blows out of the dash vents when idling, but when the throttle is opened and the vacuum drops, it switches to blowing out of the defroster vents. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Most vaccum operated HVAC controls have a vaccum check valve under the hood in the plastic vaccum line. They are about the diameter of a dime and only allow vaccum in one direction. Look near the firewall about the middle of the truck.

You have a vac leak somewhere . Or bad control switch in the dash. It controls vac flow to actuators . I have see few of them that leaked . Smoke machine will find these leaks in a hurry . Lot of shops have them now . Save time and headaches .
