How to Tie in an RPM Gage to a 1949 MT John Deere

Heres my question How would I connect an RMP Moniter/Gage to my 1949 Johndeere modle MT its built for a puller and i want to know my rmps at all time, I would highly thank you for the help

I bought an eleectronic one on my case diesel puller.The pickup unit screws into the bellhousing and points at the teeth on the flywheel and counts them as they spin by.I think the hole is threaded 3/4 in Which I drilled and tapped.Mount the gauge anywhere you want and wire it up. Hoss

A tach is easy for a gas motor. You can buy electric ones that you simply wire into the coil. Any auto parts store has them and they are easy to install.

Counts the teeth as they spin by----kind of like counting cattle----count the legs and divide by four.
