being yer one of them fellers that favor the green, just had a guy stop by the shop and is giving me 2 jd #5 mowers. both work good, have new sections and one is set up for a 3 point mount. gonna pick em up next week. i'll have 3 running ones and one parts machine. can i borrow nancy to stop up here and help me bale hay???? i'll post some pics when i get em next week.

A man can't have too many working JD #5 mowers.

Sounds like you got a good deal on both of them.

A JD sickle mower in any condition improves the value of a red tractor at least $400-$500 depending on the condition of red tractor.

Will be interesting to see a photo of the 3pt mount; got an idea of how it looks, but will wait for your photo.

Unable to "loan out" Nancy for a couple of weeks.

Hopefully we will be baling bahia grass this holiday weekend.

Getting rain at the farm right now which will help our coastal bermuda.

Planning on baling the coastal within the next 10 days.

I'm also afraid she'd come back with a couple of your pet "corn fed" horses.

Just saw your thoughts on how much value green implements add to a Farmall. My "41 M has a belr-dreven hyd pump from a John Deere model 95 combine to give me live hyd. How much value increase(works Good!)? Also how much value does a John Deere #6 corn sheller getting its power from a 560D farmall add to my 560D? That combination worked good also. Armand
