just had summer squash sliced , dipped in egg then floured and fried till golden brown, Also potato salad made with yukon gold potatoea and some sweet onions from the garden Just cant wait for tomatoes and sweet corn Doesnt get any better than that

I agree, Larry. We had fresh-picked yellow beans; could have had broccoli or zucchini too. I hope to get enough more pickles to make bread- and-butters; I have a dozen or so and 10 more are just about ready. Corn is close to tasseling. Green beans should be ready in a couple of days. Told wife to plan on canning beans Saturday. It's great to experience those wonderful veggies all winter.

Now that's good eatin'!
So far we have had red onion, swiss chard, one small squash, snow peas, lettuce (and lots of it), radishes, beets, I might be missing something. Tomatoes are starting to come along nicely. This is all pretty early for us but we had such a mild spring that my wife planted a lot of things early. Combine that with plenty of rain and we have a garden the neighbors are envious of. We are probably the youngest folks with a garden on the road and her garden is doing better than most.

Here's what we picked and cooked yesterday- some white patty pans and yellow squash, a few onions, a few peppers...cooked it up with a nice grilled pork loin.
