Bad day mowing

Started mowing, Someone rolled a big tree round piece it must have been atleast 20 in across, and 16 in thick. I ran over it, tried to back up, now it's stuck between the mower and the tractor. tried to go foreward, now it's stuck between the tire and transmission. I removed the foot rest, and thought if I back uo it will fall out. Bad decision the piece rolled up and stopped my clutch pedel from working. I grabbed the stop. Now the thing is really stuck between the upper transmission, and the tire. I needed to loosen up the rear tire to get it to release. Naturally no socket to remove the rear wheel. Had to go home for that. Meanwhile it is around 100 degrees, and had to carry every thing about 50 yards up a steep hill. That whole ordeal took about 3 hrs. Glad the mowing season is almost over. stan

i just hate that kind of day mine was interesting i was brush hogging a meadow of 3 or 4 acres in a rich subdivision the stuff was 2 to 3 feet tall, running in 1st gear in my jubilee when i apparently found somebodys illeagle cable tv hook up line running thru the grass, wound about 40 foot of it up in a ball, lol some dude wont have free tv tonight, he even used that old style cable with the separate wire on the outside

Noticed today I have 75 hours this year on my mowing tractor...and so far the only problem has been a nail in the front tire. It stayed up for 2 weeks, but was flat on the bottom side this morning so I took it off to fix it. Not the easiest since my 9.5L-15 fronts are loaded with CaCl to keep the front end on the ground. Well it is back on the tractor, but still have to get the pump around to put the fluid back in.

On some jobs, you might think: Am I making any head way? With mowing, just look behind you, instant positive feedback, can't beat it.

I been having the mow and acre fix the mower. Mow another acre fix the mower week. I have a NI 251 sickle bar that just got early retirement today. I'm hoping it won't be spared the firing squad.

All you had to do was to get your fat a$$ off the tractor before you hit it and kick it out of the way.
