Hey folks,
Trying to figure out what to look for but having a hard time getting an answer on forums here (think some folks on here have the coffee shop syndrom, oughta try some here)...
Any of you have or know of any of the German brands (kuhn, deutz, fahr, krone, claas,) that are pull behing and not on 3pt hitch. Fahr KH4 is one that I know of but having trouble finding one local, trying to widen the search as far as brands. 10 ft is about the max I want.

I've seen Kuhn trailer tedders for sale here, 2 basket and 4 basket. Same for Krone, in fact I have a Neidmayer which is an older version of Krone. A 4 basket new is about twice as much as a 2 basket and only maybe 1/3 wider.

A lot of Italian tedders are imported here. Saw a 2 basket new for $1650. The design of tedders has pretty well matured. The tedder rakes they used to have don't seem to have worked out too well.

Things must be different over there I think I have seen or used all the brands you list, and all have been pullbehind. In fact I can't ever remember seeing a 3pt. Kinda like a Lister, could'nt call one if it killed me!

I have never seen a 3 point in my area and I don't think it will work will on our uneven ground. I do know you can get them with 3 point. I've had a Sitrex 4 basket for more than 10 years and never even had a flat tire on it much less a broken tine.

I don't mind the 3ph stuff so much, just a PITA to move it around without a tractor. The pull behind stuff is a little older and cheaper.

The uneven ground is my problem. Helped by using a chain for toplink like some folks here suggested but not perfect.

Same as others mentioned, mostly pull behinds. Alot of Kuhns around here. I would think you are in the tedder capital of the world over there?

Same here, I didn"t even know they made a 3pt tedder. I've got a walton that I've had about 10 years. Most around here are 4 basket Kuhn or Krone.

If I could just find a pull behind drum mower, I wouldn't have thoughts about replacing my little tractor

Look at a Kuhn GF-22T Pull type two rotor 8' 6"

We have a GF-22N (3pt) and it can easily be wheeled around on flat ground by one person as the 3pt version balances on the same two wheels the pull type one does.

I have a two-rotor Kuhn 3-pt tedder. The hitch (bottom
two hitch points) is made so the machine floats when
top link is set properly. I've used it on plenty of uneven
ground. Often thought a pull type would be good-it just
follows the best. 3-pt has some advantages-just lift a
lever to go from one field to the next, etc. Fortunately,
tedder only has to be used early in the season. Once
the ground gets hot and dry, tedder gets a rest.
