Libby's is again processing pumpkins. Approximately ten trucks were waiting to be unloaded. Seems to be early. Should soon eliminate the shortage, if indeed one existed.

I bought into the shortage hype. Went the grocery store immediately after the news and bought two cans.
Nary a pie did I make. The cans still sit in my pantry. This morning I was looking at my pumpkin patch, and the 3-150' rows of pie pumpkins I planted and asking myself "WTF am I gonna do with all these @#*&! pumpkins?"

Can you say punkin chunkin???

Good to hear that. The shortage existed. The other half says she can't buy pumpkin stuff at the stores here in NV. Not being pie season, it isn't in the news.

dont know if there are thrifway stores in nv but theres no shortage in s.e. nm yet my wife makes the best pies out of home grown pumpkins.
