New tires for JD 420U

I'm restoring a John Deere 420 Utility Highway Orange. My question is what tires to put on it? It had 14.9x24 turf tires when I got it. What should I put on it for new tires? Thanks for your input. Matt Fleisher

Mine had 12.4 x 24 tires on it from the factory. I do have a 420S though. I pulled my records up from two cylinder and was suprised to see it had 6.00x16 fronts. It looks good I think with the smaller tires.

The only 24" rear rim listed in JD parts catalog 505 for a 420U is 10" wide so if it has 10" wide rims then 12.4 X 24 would be correct size

According to parts cat. 24,26 & 28 inch tires were an option on JD 420
