jd300b loader problem

i went to start my 300b the other day and it started but i cannot lift the loader bucket and the backhoe will not swing or pivot as well. i checked the hydr. fluid and it is full. also the power steering is not working as well. i can put into gear and it will go forward and backwards but i cannot get the loader to work. there is no noise from the hydr. pump. any ideas why the loader would not work?

Check out the hydraulic pump drive. It probably has sheared the splines in the drive coupling. It is a common failure. The splines wear thin and then shear on startup. The coupling is softer than the pump drive shaft so it usually does not hurt the pump. The drive is on the front of the crankshaft and goes to the pump in front of the radiator.
