Bout time for new tires on my tractor (rear), about 350 bucks. Been thinking about finding another set of wheels so I could mount snow chains on the older ones and just swap wheels in winter. Got to fooling around on ebay and found a set in the town a couple miles away that were getting ready to run out. Got them for 76 bucks with good tires n them with about 50% tread. Went to pick them up and it was a guy that I bought a bunch of hay from this spring. On the way to get the wheels, I told him I was looking for a rake and tedder also. He had doubles of several things for some reason and had just sold his rake but had 2 tedders and is going to figure out a price and get back with me next week. Told him to give me a good price because I'll need another 20 rolls of hay this year. He smiled real big so I guess I'll make a decent deal on hay and tedder also.
The other piece of luck, did something stupid and had the tractor up on two wheels with the baler pushing me and headed for a big tree when it must have hit a hole and forced back down on all 4's in time to miss the tree and get enough traction to recover. I'll not make that mistake again.
