OT todays journey

my daughter and wife like to bake and they watch a show on the learning channel called the cake boss. So today my daughter wanted to visit the bakery in Hoboken NJ where the show is filmed. I took her and a friend and my wife and found the bakery for her. We waited in line for a while and went in and bought some baked goods. They were happy, so when they are happy, Im happy. Then Itook them to lunch, they wanted to go to a hamburger place called Johnny Rockets in Hoboken . Going to the farm tommorow, should have some on topic random photos to post then.

Looks awesome. Num, num, nummy. Every town should have one of those. The Mrs. could be hollaring, "Where'd that pie go", only to hear mumbling from the barn, "Mmm on't know". Looks like the family had fun, and that's a good thing.

I often work in Illinois and when I do, I try to make it to the town of Manhattan in Will County. Downtown is Kirby's Bakery and I'm pretty sure that its a federal law that if I'm passing through Manhattan and don't stop at Kirby's, I'm going to prison, or at least should. Their pastries and cakes are awesome and they make them right in front of you. When I bring Kirby's home to my family in Indiana, I'm the hero for the day.

Nice little strip there isn't is Larry ? I used to stop in Hoboken every so often on the way home from Manhattan, never knew that is where the show is filmed though, been more than 5 years since I've been through there.

If you ever get over into the city, go to the end of Canal St. head over the Manhattan bridge, turns into Flatbush avenue, several blocks down on the right, Junior's, red and white stripes, bakery, widely known for it's cheesecake, I used to get a coffee and a cranberry muffin in there every morning headed into bedford stuyvesant to a building project I was working on, absolutely great cheesecake, would always bring goods from there home, gifts for people, on fridays I would bring a bag of those muffins home for friends up here in the capitol district.
