Welcome to South Dakota. Black Hills are very scenic. Hope you checked out Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments, along with Spearfish Canyon. If you make it to Easter South Dakota, Stop in Mitchell and see the worlds largest bird feeder aka the corn palace. I've lived in SD all my life and work in Mitchell.

Saw the biggest thunderstorm of my life at a campground in Interior, South Dakota, just south of the Badlands. Very impressive, lots of amperage flying around.

ive been to the corn palace on a trip out west, we also went to crazy horse and mt. rushmore

I can,t help but wonder what the guy in his wagon going west thought when he rolled up on the bad lands. Loved the drive thru just thinking how the people handled it 150 years ago.
Are they still working on Crazy Horse..? Was there 2 years ago. Still a lot of rock to move.

I lived at Marion SD from 1970-1978. I was in elementary school then, but our basketball team, when they made it to the state tournament, would play ball in the Corn Palace. I believe I saw Roy Rogers in there once as well! Greg

My good friend lives in Spearfish Canyon SD, and i think this picture was taken near there.

Lovely State, only been through it a couple times, but lots of natural beuaty.
