Made sandwiches with venison liver tonight. Good sourdough bread with swiss cheese and lettuce.
Oh, and who was it talking about horseradish the other day? For those who also liked it I tip my hat.
As much to let the steam out as anything.

Gee--and you didn't invite any of us over either! Local bar owner who's since went to that Big Party in the Sky used to have an annual event on Election Day--all of the regulars would save their deer livers, bring them in, and he'd cook them up with a big mess of onions and put it out on the bar. Made for some good eating, but the air tended to get a bit "tangy" after things had had a chance to percolate a bit!!

Jer----the liver/heart were always a favorite of my Dad when he was still alive..

Did you ever see any of these when you cleaned a deer liver?

When I was in "deer school" I pointed this out to Dad one time...really had him going until I told him the "rest of the story". They look like a blood clot...

NOTE!!! "This parasite is not infective for humans and presents no public health menace in this regard. The main prohibition against human consumption of cooked ‘flukey' deer liver would be an aesthetic one. Consumption of venison from an infected deer poses no risk to humans."

Down by us, we have the "CWD" Scare still going strong....(I still eat the hearts)

Enjoy, I have to go wipe the drool from my chin:>)

Best liver I ever ate was tame rabbit liver. If you try some, you'll want to start raising rabbits.

When my kids was little, they didn't like it too much. Lady told wife to soak it in milk in frige overnight, then cook. They got to where they would fight for that like it was steak. Me too! Dave
