I played with it for a half hour (not the 6 hours it would take to make it very good), nice old photo. I teach my graphics students to do this each Fall to give parents a reprint of an old treasure. Jim

It is a photo I downloaded from Page 6 back in the forum and retouched a little for the owner. See Greenmech post of old photos. Jim

Corel Graphics Suite X4. Photo paint. For a great buy it is 14 the price of Adobe, and is inclusive with graphics and screen capture, ans well as the bitmap editor. It has radical import export capability and the modules work alike. Gotta love it. Jim

That photo looks real good. How can I tell how good the retouching is without seeing the original?

Hi Jim: That was a good clean up you did on that 1929 picture. A few years ago I was talking to a person working in a photo Dept and was told that the best money was in "clean up" on Wedding pictures... after a divorce. Seems quite a Few still want to keep their pictures but they want their "X" taken out of the pictures. No trace. Fill it in with just about anything except that dern "no good X" and most are willing to spend quite a bit to get that "X" removed. But I would guess that wouldn't be the best example to use in your class. :) ag.

It is important to have students work on non toxic material while doing something with real value. It is engrossing and quite rewarding. Thanks. Jim
