Sure Geezer --- people are not smart --- and do dumb things --- they should be sending their mseeage to Dear Abby
it just shows there are a LOT of lonesome weird people in this world.

I do have to admit that when I see such posts, that I wonder where "here" is. Now, I'm from northern center Indiana, but right now I am not there, because I am here working, and here they have snow and its kind of slick out. At least it was last night when I got called out for emergency repairs. And as I walk over and look out the window, yep, its still plenty slick out...here, where I am that is not home with my family.

Merry Christmas from here, where its snowy and slick and is not home.

Mark

Oh yeah, "here" is Joliet, IL.

Geezer;

I wholly agree with you. I have posted before with that same request.

Someone reporting 25 degrees and snow in Minnesota may not mean much, but someone reporting the same thing in southern Georgia may make headlines.

We are at 20 degrees here in west central, Ohio and had a dusting of snow overnight, just enough to cover the old dirty 4 inches of snow.

Gene

About 2-3 inches of fresh fluff here in NW Iowa. When we came out of Christmas eve services last night it looked like a scene on a Christmas postcard with a few flakes floating down. Jim

Merry Xmas to all We problaby got from 2 to4 inches here in southwest Iowa. We live between Des Moine and O my God, in Nascar country.

No snow in central Texas but we did get 2 inches of rain yesterday morning first good rain we had got in 110 days sure was a good Christmas present, Merry Christmas to all

No snow here near Wickenburg Arizona,a little rain the other day which was the tail end of that California storm. Matter of fact I've never seen snow here. Some hail once in awhile, maybe. But you all relax,I do know what snow is,I spent 59 years just west of Joliet ILL.And again,Merry Christmas to All.

(quoted from post at 06:56:01 12/25/10) It sure is hard to believe that someone would send a rude comment today, but I guess you dont care, I could say more , but not today.

That's just little joey being himself. If you don't respond, he'll get his feelings hurt and wait on the Howells to post. That'll get us thru Christmas and keep things in order.

Got about 16 inches piled up here in my little piece of Germany.

If folks wouldn't be so hard headed and just use modern view (and fill out their profile) everyone would know where folks are at just by looking.

Merry Christmas.

Dave

No snow in our little west,Colo. valley. In fact I'm still fall plowing. But in the high mountains surrounding us,lots of it,Over 7 feet at Crested Butte this last storm.

I've said the same thing before, and have had my town & state listed in my profile ever since I joined the forum! I just can't understand why people are afraid to post their location, it certainly has not caused any problems for me!
JMHO, Dave
Oh yeah, from New Boston, NH, a very Merry Christmas to all of you!

I agree, location would be so helpful at times....I think my screen name should help! But yeah, sometimes I wonder when people want advice, especially on crops, and it varies so much across this great country.
