FRom the forecast's it sounds like they aree trying to drive the point that if we werent prepared for the last snow storm a couple weeks ago we darn sure better be ready for the next one. Sayig she is supposed to be one of the worst ones in many many years new years weekend. Hope not, have a wedding.

Dave;

What part of Minnesoya are you from? I have many good friends in Stevens and Pope County. Haven't talked to or heard from them for a while and wondering how the weather is in the west central part of the state.

Gene

I hear you.

There's a bonehead on a local TV station who can take 15 minutes to tell you it might rain tonight, and then again it might not.

They're called "WEATHER GUESSERS' thats all they do anyway is guess. Your better off looking out you own weather window, if it's wet it's raining, if it's white, it's snowing...Get the point? LOL Mike

Case and point last night and early this morning they were calling for [b:fa719fac13][i:fa719fac13][size=18:fa719fac13]maybe[/size:fa719fac13][/i:fa719fac13][/b:fa719fac13] 1" of snow today. Now we have a lake effect snow warning for up to 8" of accumulation today.

Thanks Dave;

I just talked to the Browns near Hancock and they are struggling and about running out of room to pile the snow. They had a water leak in their upstairs bathroom while away for the day and did a lot of damage to the walls, floors and ceilings. Not good.

We are drowing in snow around here, New Ulm area of Minnesota.

They been talking about that big one coming for a while now.

I thought it was pretty much a "given" than Minnesotans were always prepared for snow- after all, in that part of the country, its not a question of "if", but "when", isn't it?

We have a morning meteorologist who wears a bag over his head ON AIR when he blows a forecast. The station does their forecasts outside and it is not uncommon to see this meteorologist in shorts at 10 degree temps.

He is just different.

His moto is "THERE IS NO LAW THAT SAYS YOU HAVE TO TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY"

We only got (2 to 4) Friday, but as I get older I am gladder that I bought a V-plow for my pickup last year. It is so much nicer in there with radio and heater than out on the old John Deere 520 and 45 loader. Don't live in Minnesota, but too close to miss the weather. NW Iowegean.

Funny, they're talking of temperatures in the 40's, and an inch of rain for next weekend here in central Michigan. thast ought to ice up anything it doesn't rinse clear.

Ain't it funny how on wcco they act like it has never snowed in Mn before? To bad the rest of that crew don't retire like the head Bozo finally did. On the other hand I had a old guy that lived next to me He had the best forcast He would say in the fall it is going to rain till it snows and in the spring he said it is going to snow till it rains,he was always rite

They are calling for mid 50s and rain here in Cincinnati for next weekend. But that is subject to change at any moment. Like they say If you don't like the weather in Cincinnati just wait 5 minutes and the weather will change! I hope you have good luck for the wedding. Bandit

Hey, Bud, from a county West of you, next month is my 67th year of the rodeo...........and the weatherguessers are a joke, Notice how everything is a "winter snow warning"...even for several inches? No wind, sleet, whatever, just a few inches of snow. How many times have you seen the Metro stations sending reporters out to a mall, a parking lot, highway, etc., reporting on the snowfall? Like it would change anything, or we should be surprised. It"s WINTER, for heaven"s sake...what should we expect. Finally a winter like we had year"s ago. All the imported newscasters and weatherguessers can"t understand that, but need to sound important. Like they would ever get outside and work in our weather!

I thought you guys had blizzards every weekend. I remember Garrison Keilor telling the story about Lt Marsha Peterson of the Minn State Patrol giving classes on winter driving to incoming out-of-state motorists in July!
