OT: Cheap portable workbench

Was given two pallets with plywood on one side. Used scrap 2x4 in the corners, a few screws and 4 casters. Total investment less than $10. I made it about 42 inches high. Don't like bending over when working on things.

I don't like bending, even when not working on things.

Everything has to be elevated for me at6'3" my back don't bend it brakes

I had that same model band saw once. Never could get it to work right. Gave it away.

George, that is a wonderful portable workbench and the price was right!
Larry, glad to see you think the same way I do. When I was building goat pens I got sticker shock for the supplies I needed. I started asking around for any and all items I could use and get cheap or free. A buddy was building a work shop out of used tin and he said if I helped him hang some of it he would give me whatever was left over. I ended up with about 20 panels of heavy metal that is 20 feet long each for free! Been using it here and there for various things such as the goat pen covers. Only thing I bought was the 4 posts, the sheet metal and lumber and screws were all left over so that helped offset the cost. Below is a picture of my buck but you can see one of the covers behind him that I built "dirt cheap". 'Ya know what? The goats don't even seem to care!

I posted this on the Ford Board the other day.
It was a welding table that I bought from a machine shop that closed. 5' X 5' 3/4" plate steel top, doors on one side for storage underneath.
The trouble was it weighs about 600 lbs and I didn't have a good way to move it. So I welded tabs on it so I could pick it up with the three point on the tractor. Testing it here with my friend's 2000.
Paid $75 for it.

Never had a problem with this bandsaw. Bought a 14 inch delta bandsaw. Has turned this saw into a toy. Have been upgrading the tools in my workshop and moving my old tools to the pole barn in the country. Seems like you can never have enough tools.
