The pony motor on my 720 is leaking oil realy bad, can't see where its coming from. Do any of you guys know what could be leaking?? It still starts and runs great.

Thanks
LH

As much as you may hate to, I would suggest pulling the pony out to find out where it is leaking.
There is a round cover on the bottom that has a gasket on it, could be there. May be a crack somewhere. It is just guessing until you pull it and find the leak.
If you run it and it is low on oil, you could be pulling the pony out anyway for a much more expensive project.

What color is it may be a engine oil seal black/dark brown...tranny a golden color.I'm going by the pony on my R. It would leak when I ran the pony..it turned out to be the rear engine seal...good luck!

Thanks for the reply, it looks like engine oil and I didn't want to pull it but I don't see any other way.. Thanks again
