TRACTOR QUESTION

I have a 560 diesel, would like to change the valve cover gasket. Do i have to raise the fuel tank ordo i need to take off the intake manifold, just wondering which would be the easiest way to get this done?

I worked on a 560 diesel for a guy at work early last fall.. I can't remember if removing the intake was enough for the valve cover to clear. I think it was though. I know we raised the fuel tank, but we had to pull the head. We removed the valve cover before we raised the tank I think, as first we checked for tight valves, then concluded it had a bad valve.

Unbolting the fuel tank wasn't very fun, I do remember that. You'd probably be best off trying the intake route first.

The rear bolts stay in the cover when you take it off. Don't forget to put them back in before the cover goes on.
