WD45 engine in a WD tractor

Saving our family WD from the scrapyard. We bought it in 1965, been around too long to junk. Unfortunately, the block was bad. Purchased a WD45 engine today, currently having the head checked out.

Looks like everything will bolt up. As near as I can tell the stroke is longer 4.5" vs 4" on the WD and the pistons are different.

My question is with the carbrator, looks like it will bolt up (manifold is the same). Does anybody know if the jets or other internal parts of the carbrator are diffrent on a WD45 vs a WD. It is not a big deal if it does not quite full WD45 hp as all the tractor will be used for is plowing the garden with a 2 x 14" plow, grader blade work on the driveway and other minor chores.

Thaks,

Bill.

Carb will bolt up just fine. Probably won't notice any loss of power. My WD had a 45 crank in it with M&W pistons on the WD air cleaner/carb and I don't think I saw a difference after I rebuilt it with all WD 45 intake components.

same exact engine,we used to put 45 engine kits in all wc and wd engines we rebuilt.( in fact it used to be hard to find wc or wd engine kits around here )I have one at the farm that has wc front end,wd trans and rearend, and a wd45 engine,All put together from three different scrap piles.took about two hours total to bolt it together and ive been running it for at least ten years now.
