fiberglass horse trailer (or boat) painting??

Hey Folks,
We have an older horse trailer that was/is oxidized. Cost me a hundred bucks a couple years ago to figure out they don't buff out nice like a car.
Is there a trick to spruce this thing back up? If not, it's gonna get a roller paint job. Do I just scuff/sand the finish and use urethane paint, or is there a smarter way that joeblow can go?

Thanks, Dave

How nice do you want it to look? If it is just dull but not scratched up you can do a pretty good job with a paint roller and marine polyurethane. You have one person roll on the paint with a foam roller and another person "tips off" the paint with a foam brush.

anything is nicer than now.......Roller will be the plan I guess. Prolly won't get tipped with the foam brush though. We'll see. Gets the ramp replaced next week. Sure wish it had doors and a step like the trailers you folks have.....
