In a pickle gentleman, Last week my wife hit a very big pothole, thanks to the state of SC for not fixing it! Ruined the 2 pass. side rims. These are the fancy machined ones, 16". I cant find ony locally, and dealer is WAY to expensive. I can however find the 15" rims they used on some Lebares, in fact they seem to be everywhere. I think I know, but will these 15" work on this car that has 16"?

As said, check your brake clearance. Also the offset of the wheel, likely the same. The bolt pattern is likely 5 on 115 MM so many GM wheels could fit. I bought a set of 4 new takeoff 16" wheels for my 93' Sedan DeVille off fleabay delivered for less than 1 replacement wheel from the dealer.
Yes we do have "potholes" in northern Pa. We just call them "craters"!

I accually have found them on ebay, but they are still expensive, to me anyways. I need to know ahead of time if they will clear though, noone will let me borrow one to bring haome and see, and right now, I cant drive the car because I have 2 bad rims.

So you say it is cheaper to buy 4 used 15 inch rims and 4 new 15 inch tires than 2 16 inch rims? Are thye 16 inch tires that hit the pothole any good?

Its not the rotor you have worry about clearing its the caliper. And yes they will work we do this all the time at the dealership where i work. The only thing you MAY have do is recal the speedo for the smaller wheel but i would assume it will be damn close and not have to worry about it. If you want to do it it is a simple download from gm. As stated earlier try carpart.com it will amaze you all the parts they can find cheap. Good luck.

maybe check with tires store that sell rims also, might even find newer styles just as cheep as relacing two. being the two old ones are probably milage and weather beaten. dress up the old gal with new shinners.[ thats doesn't mean to give wife black-eyes]. lol

No, the front one blew out, the rear tire is not completely wore out, but it would have needed changing anyways, so thats not a worry. Its not that its cheaper, I just simply cant find the same 16" rim at any of the local yards. I can find plenty of the 15" rims. The 15" blanks are very plentful, I can get all 4 of those with caps for like 50 bucks at one yard. Through the dealer, the rims I need are 450 each. I did find 2 on ebay today for 125 each plus shipping, so Im looking at close to 300 bucks if Igo that route.

I know your question is Buick specific and I don't know the answer. However if you have traction control and your front to rear tire diameters are not the same your computer may get mad at you.

OK. So that's $500 for 2 16" rims and 2 new tires.
Can you buy 4 13" rims, 4 tires . mount and balance for $500?

Gordo

keystone automotive sells re-manufactured wheels. about 180 dollars. your local body shop can order one for you.

Theres a local Keystone - LKQ nearby, but they dont have anything in stock, and according to the guy I spoke with Friday, they are 225 each. He could have them by Thursday, and if my usuall junkyard guy cant find another style for that car, Im probably going to go through Keystone. I hate to spend that much on the car, but if I have to I have to. This is my wifes work car and she has to have it, but with right at 300000 miles on it, it just isnt worth that much.
