H-Farmall Shifting problem

Have a chance to buy an H with everything going for it ( price???,good tin,including fenders,decent rubber,starts and runs great,and an honest seller.)He says it will lock up between 4th and reverse on occasion.Price is $700.00 which is a fair price for a decent one around here.My concerns are while it would'nt take much to make it look great,could that shifting problem put it in the pass deptment???? Any thought would be appricated.....Ron
