I've got a 140(?), tractor serial 3845, engine serial C123 7182. It has Carter carb. Appears to be a 1959 model based on tractor serial. I bought it from a guy who represented it as a 140. It has sheet metal of 140. But the book says 140 engine numbers start with C123 65001. Book further says that the 140s had either M-S or Zenith carbs. From looks of engine serial and carb, it appears engine may be from a 100. Were there two engine sizes for these tractors? Maybe one with a bigger bore? I read that somewhere. Any info appreciated. I'm mostly Ferguson man and kinda green on red machines. Oh yeah, one more thing. Serial suffix (D) indicates it has high altitude (over 5000 ft) package. What does that mean? Thanks.
