You can put a one way restrictor in the hydraulic line. It will not restrict the flow to the cylinder, but the flow rate back out of the cylinder will be adjustable. You can get one from Northern Tool. I suppose a place like Tractor Supply might have them too. It's real hard to let the lift all down slow with out some kind or restricter. Another option is to get a spool valve that will allow you to control the cylinder as a two way cylinder instead of one way. That is going to be a lot more expensive and will require quite a bit of piping and hose. You have to run the return from the spool valve back to the fill pipe on the lift all. In addition, there would be a hose from the liftall outlet to the spool valve and two hoses from the spool valve, one to each end of the cylinder. With the spool valve system, you have to lock the lift all in the lift position when ever you are using the spool valve.
