1430 pounds is the field weight, so if there are no wheel weights you can take of another few hundred pounds or so off. Should be no problem fitting it in there and I've seen people with 3/4 tons haul them before, so I would say if you feel ok with about 1200/1400 in the back of your truck load it and see. I would however not try and brake the speed of sound driving that 300 miles. Stop every so often check wheels and tires, have a soda let things cool down and you will have a save and enjoyable trip.
