JRM, I had the same problem, I loosened the bowl let the gas fill the bowl up, then I tightened the bowl again, tractor started and ran ok. ( this was BTW with a new bowl and assembly ) I did however have alot of crud in my tank, so I emptyed the bowl a number of times as well. I though maybe it was a screen thing as well, but all was clean after emptying the tank of gas twice.
