Justin, The whining in the PTO unit is the sun gears that is turning in the unit or a pilot bearing in the unit. You may want to check the bands adjustment and it may help to change the oil in it. Use Hy-Tran. Also there is a seasonal disconnect under the TA unit. It saves a lot of wear and tear on the PTO unit if you shut it off when you are not using it. John In Iowa
