I can give you a formula used to figure compression on auto engines. It will work on any engine but requires a lot of measurements. You start with the bore and stroke meas. You then need to know the displacment of any domes or dishes on the pistons in cc's (cubic centimeters). Next you need to know the deck height. (Area of the block above the piston at TDC Next, the compressed thickness of the gasket you will be using. Finally, you have to measure the volume of the combustion chamber in cc's (cubic centimeters). If you have all these or can get them, I can post the formula you use to compute your compression ratio. Once that is figured out, most shops can determine how much to shave the head or deck the block to get the desired compression ratio. Have fun!
