Well thanks to all for your timely and helpful tips and comments.The dumb mistake has been put to rest.I took all advise that I recived and put it to practical applecation such as mgnets and removel of the pto shaft.At any rate I was could not find the offending piece that I dropped even after removing the pto shaft (what a job that was ),however My wounderful wife with her small hands reached into the grease and grime and retrived the missing drift punch.She has once again establised herself as my hero.Thanks to all of you for taking the time to respond and help.Thomas L O'Dowd and Hero
