It's a common problem no matter the make; I have a 1946 Ford 2N. Many people refer to the all gray N's as 9N's. However, there is a model distinction between 9N's and 2N's and you would be surprised (maybe not) at the number of people who try to tell me that there was no such thing as a 2N. I show them the 2N number on the axle trumpets and they still don't believe. I've given up trying to explain the whole thing and now just thank them for pointing me in the right direction and I tell them that I will get new, correct signs made.
