no chain drive there are two seals on the axle one on the trans this is the one that is probably leaking not that hard to change check the journal where it seals might want to put two of them in the new ones are a lot thinner this way you can put one on either side of the place where the original one was and you will have a good surface to work with might as well do the other one one the output side where it goes into the final reduction have done this several times dont need leakage for the brake area
