I replaced the axle seal on my A. There is a seal and a felt washer. It was fairly easy. Jack and support the tractor. Remove the wheel and the the bottom gear cover. There is a plate on the inside of the final drive this need to be removed. The axle can then be bumped out after removing the nut on the inside of the axle. There are spacers on the axle and you will need to support the large gear on the axel shaft. The outer housing is held on with 4 bolts the seal and felt washer are in that housing. When reinstalling the the seal don't daage the seal when you slip the seal housing over the axle. It goes on tight due to the felt washer. The other important tip is insure that you put the new seal in correctly, seal open side facing inwards. Good luck Dave Ulm
