I got the I-4 running

Even though I knew I needed to take carb apart and clean it and perhaps a new carb kit, I just couldn't help myself. I just put new points and condensor in mag, timed it, installed the rebuilt starter and cranked her over. To my surprise I found a wasp nest in the exhaust manifold. Fortunately with all the noise and smoke, they were too confused to do anything. Maybe tomorrow after they settle down I'll be able to go back into the shop. It ran pretty good though until breather tube filled with gasoline, hence all the smoke.
