Lots of wild and good ideas here, luckly I've never had that problem. In one neighborhood I lived in we had a couple of kids getting gas out of everyone's car, until a old guy saw them under his carport sucking on a hose. The next thing this kid knew the old guy had his service .45 wedged against his head, while his wife called police. The kids were charged and never had a problem outta them sense. I also knew a fellow who owned a gun shop near his house which was out in the country. He could not afford the insurance and didn't like dogs, so he had two 5 foot diamond back rattlesnakes that he would release in the shop about three times a week. Funny thing was he could handle the snakes with no problem, but once, his wife (unaware the snakes were lose) went to the back door and as soon as she turned the knob she could hear the rattles. I don't care for rattlesnakes either, but he never had a breakin.
