Does it start that hard with 6 volt system?? I bought a farmall C that someone had converted to 12 volt, and I changed it back to 6 volt. I like keeping it original. It starts everytime, no matter what the weather is. I have a good 6 volt interstate battery, and my electrical system is up to standard. I run 15W-40 motor oil in it all year round. In my opinion, unless the 6 volt system is really bad, I would leave it alone.
