I'am not sure what kind of work you subject that 460 to, but i would not recommend putting anything in there to thin that oil out with. You see that hydraulic oil is also the lubricant for your transmission, differential, besides the hydraulic system, and belive me i've seen what using thinners do to the expensive parts in there. Getting it running and putting a hydraulic lever on demand for some time will warm the fluid to the point where you could get the fluid drained and changed, plus replacing the filter. Another alternative is if the hy-tran fluid is not that old, change the hydraulic filter, and pick up a screen and by-pass valve assembly for a 656 hydro, it has a much coarser screen for the simple reason you mentioned. They had a problem with those in this north country too. This I know will solve your problem. Glad I could help. Let me know it works.
