It is located in the left dash support. And like ACE said it is spring loaded. I had a simaler problem with a 460 years ago and it was caused buy and axel bearing failure and some of the shavings got past the hdy. filter and it drove me goofy for a long time, I had that valve apart so many time that i could do it in my sleep, when it would stick it would cause the pumps to pump so had it would kill the engine.
