I apologize in advance for mentioning a green tractor on this board, but here goes. I have a hand start JD B that is hard to start. I have monkeyed around with the carb, etc., but I still can't hand start it about 70% of the time. I usually pull start it with one of my Farmalls, but I don't necessarily always have someone else there to drive the other tractor. I recently bought a flat belt and I'm think about flat belting the JD B to my Farmall B to start the JD. The rear pulley on the Farmall will easily line up with the pulley on the JD. Has anyone done this? Are there dangers I should be aware of? Will this work?
