I built a set of splitter stands using a pair of side crank implement jacks with a caster wheel welded to the bottom that work pretty good. We used them to split our 1086 for a clutch last spring, we used a bottle jack under the clutch housing for the back end. I think I had around $180 in the stands ordering the parts from Northern tools but they will handle 5,000lbs.
