First thing is to get a good set of plugs in it i prefer MotoCraft or Auto Lite or and AC C86 or 87 off the top of my head i can't remember the other plug no. Then get the tractor warmed up check the timing at idel and at full throttel set the timing to spec. Then idel it down and set low idel then fine tune the air bleed screw for the best low end and keep backing the curb idel screw out till she is running as smoothe as you can get it at the lowest setting then rest the idel screw to spec and look at the exhust and make sure that you have no smoke at idel then set the main at 41/2 turns off the set ,do not force the screw against the seat just so it touches the seat then 4 1/2 turns out . then don.t buy cheep gas put in a higher grade and it will make a differance.
