Lost oil from crankcase (don't ask!), ruined one rod bearing/crank was all ready ground 30/1000. Local engine builder -race cars- is getting parts and work together, but everything takes time. I took the tractor apart over time and in stages. I am hurting for a systematic way to reassemble the beast. I should have kept records, video taped the steps, etc. etc. but at the time I didn't think it would be months before I could reassemble. I bought J&D Productions "Engine Rebuild for Farmall Tractors." It is a good "introduction" to general steps of overhaul for someone who has been inside a motor before. Other than go slow and double check everything does anyone have sound advice?? Hire an old mechanic! Do you know of any?
