You'd be surprised at the people who jump on the offer. A guy over here "sold" a horse for a bunch more than it was worth. The transaction was entirely by email until the "agent" showed up with a bank draft for 2000 Euro more than the agreed price. He was told that the agent had no local currency and needed the 2000 bucks cash to cover return expenses. They understood that it was a great inconvenience and finally said that they could get by with 1000 (he could keep the other 1000 for the inconvenience and his cooperation). He got his horse back a few days later (it was turned loose at the border to Poland). He learned an expensive lesson.
