I remember a lot of 706's having problems with a good number of them in the weeds at the end of a field. I still cant figure this out as the same components in the 560 and 806 were great. Could be that this tractor simply got beat too death. Could be that everyone thought this tractor had more than it did and pushed it too far. Engines didn't last that long (gas or diesel) and i just remember a lot of them in for repairs when i was a kid. Did hear a lot about repowering them with the german diesel believed that worked reasonably well. All the 806's and 560 I remember were in the field doing work. I could be wrong but those childhood memories are hard to shake.
