H BW, I haven't had the injectors out of my brothers 684 with D239 but have had them out of his 454 D179 same engine but only 3 cylinders. According to service manual the coolant should be drained down just in case the brass sleeves pull out when the injector is removed. I can't remember any brass sealing ring but maybe there was. I found just cleaning the hole and the injector well and inserting properly and torquing retaining bolts evenly to 18 ft-lbs, the injectors would seal properly. You can test for leaks by pouring soapy water around injectors. Maybe someone with more expierence will offer suggestions. JimB
