I don't think that he is implying that you lied, I believe he is trying to tell you that they aren't factory. I myself have never seen a set of gold plates, and my parts manual doesn't list them either. The only plates that I have seen are silver, and have either no script, diesel, or LPG in the area under 806. Maybe it is a plate that was purchased later, as I have seen several reproduction parts that are inaccurate. If you think they look good, what does it matter whether they are factory or not? If you are thinking it is some one off prototype that is worth more than a standard 806, I doubt it. . .
