There was a special valve spring compressor made for these engines that have the valves in the block. The old 6 cylinder Chrysler Corp cars used engines that had the valves in the block. Your local auto machine shop may know where one can be purchased. You need one of these so you can remove the keepers while the spring is compressed and when reinstalling the keepers.
