Doe anyone know how to disassemble the impulse mechanism on the backside of a Cub magneto? The mechanism appears to be bound up inside and no longer snaps like it should. I removed what appeared to be a retaining nut on the center shaft, but the clutch-like wheel does not come free after that. Someone said that the clutch-like cover was reverse threaded, but how do you twist it off? Someone else said it had to be pried off. Again, how do you do that without breaking the housing? Thank you!
