I'm looking at a '49 M, serial 181030, SINGLE front wheel, complete tractor, solid sheetmetal, next-to-new rear tires, engine turns free. It has been crudely converted to 12 volt via alternator with some very creative wiring. It appears to have been a daul-fuel as there is an extra hole in the hood just forward and to the right of the main tank fill. The intake/exhaust manifold has some type of flapper valve in the upper section (and a hole rusted through the sidewall!!) so I am assuming that this is the often discussed distillate manifold. The ower wants $800 and will deliver the twelve miles down to my place. Anybody got any thoughts?? all are appreciated and welcome. Thanks in advance, Ed in 'ole Virginny
