The H is a very useful tractor but be aware that the H didn't have live Hydraulics, meaning the hydraulics stop when you push the clutch in. Also the H had 1 way hydraulics, meaning that you only had hydraulics that push only or pull only, these are usually set to lift an implement and the weight of the implement is what pulls it back down. Live hydraulics and 2 way hydraulics can be added to a H but at considerable cost. most H's I've seen have not been converted to this. another factor to think about is the H didn't have a three point hitch either. they only had a draw bar. this severely limits what implements you can use. The late super H's had live/ 2 way hydraulics but no 3 point. You can buy a 3 point for the H or super H, cost is around $500-600 for a good quality Hitch. The 300/350 series tractors had good hydraulics and farmall's 2 point fast hitch but are not too hard to adapt to 3 point. These tractors are what superceded the Super H. They usually cost a bit more than the H's, but are more useful and most will have power steering also.Power steering is almost mandatory if your going to use a front end loader! I don't want to steer you away from the H, I own one my self and love it. I did put a 3 point on my H and am converting it to a 2 way hydraulic system. I just want you to be aware of the draw backs of such a old style tractor. Just my 2.5 cents worth! Zonie

Like most features of our life, few things are all good or all bad, and most such judgments depend on our own perspective or viewpoint. In our particular hobby, we enjoy the nostalgic return to the days of our youth as we recreate many of the scenes that took place on the family farm that served as the stage for the first few acts of the play that is our live
